Starlets perform for ARLENE PHILLIPS!!
Saturday 1st October 2011 - Henley-on-Thames
Starlet Dance School was contacted to provide dancers to perform for Arlene Phillips ('So You Think You Can Dance' Judge and ex-Strictly Come Dancing Judge) at Henley on 1st October 2011. The children chosen to perform were aged between 7-14 years old.
The day went really well.....with an early start at 7am to meet at the Dance Studios for hair and make-up to be done (Thank you to Amy & Becky Lewendon!). Parents and children then made our way to Henley to the Kenton Theatre. When arriving the children met with Arlene and had their photos taken. Once the Theatre was full, Arlene read from some of her childrens books and the children then performed their 'street dance' routine for her. Her comments after were "Sensational.....simply sensational" and the "best dance group I have seen in a while, whilst touring
around the country". She then spoke to the children and gave inspirational feedback and comments - all positive! The children then got their books signed and more pictures taken with her and again she commented on how amazing the standard of the girls were!
You should all be very proud! Well Done Starlets!!

Stage 5 Pupils perfoming at Street Dance Extreme at the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke - Sunday 24th July 2011
Several Stage 5 Girls will be performing at the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke on Sunday 24th July at 7pm, performing their Street Dance Routine 'Brownie Promise'.
Street Dance Xtreme - an evening of top street dance acts from around the UK, brought together by Pure Productions for one night only.
Including the award winning FatBoyZ Dance Crew who represented the UK in the recent European Street Dance Championship, along with B BOY Silk from Sky’s 'Got To Dance' and 'POPPIN' Ron' from the BBC series 'So You Think You Can Dance', along with Street Force D.C, FatBoyz FreakZ and Embrace - these are just a few of the many acts performing for your entertainment. With the street dance industry growing each day this is one show simply not to be missed.

Starlet Main School Summer Show 'Memories' - Saturday 9th July 2011
Children in Stages 2-5 will be performing at The Anvil Theatre, Basingstoke in their annual summer show on Saturday 9th July 2011 at 7:30pm.

This will be a great show with pieces from shows such as - The Wizard of Oz, Camp Rock, Sweet Charity, Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, Anything Goes, Cats and many more....current street dances.....and the girls from the Annie UK Tour perform a few pieces too!
Lambs Lane Summer Fete - Sunday 3rd July 2011
Stage 3 and Stage 4 will be performing at 1pm at Lambs Lane Primary Schools Summer Fete. Stage 3 will be performing 'Beggin' and Stage 4 will be performing 'Work It Out'. Please come down and support all the children who are taking part and come and have a good fun day out!
Shinfield Summer Fete - Saturday 2nd July 2011
Stage 5 Girls will be performing at Shinfield Summer Fete on Saturday 2nd July at 3pm, on the school green. Please do come down and support the girls! :)
'Little Starlet's' Summer Show - Sunday 26th June 2011
This is the first year that Starlet Dance School will not have the whole school in the same show due to the amount of children. So, this year Stage 1 will have there very own show called 'Little Starlets' which will be at the Oakwood Theatre, Woodley on Sunday 26th June 2011. Children from Stage 4 & 5 and our Adult Dancers and Tappers will also be performing in this show! Tickets are now on sale!!! See Paulyne for details!
Wokingham May Fayre - May Bank Holiday Weekend!

Singing & Choreography Competition - 20th Feb 2011 - Oakwood Theatre, Woodley
Children in Stage 3, 4 & 5 all took part in the singing & choreography competition on Sunday 20th February at the Oakwood Theatre, Woodley. The Judges were very impressed by all the talent throughout the day, and everyone should be very proud of all your hard work and effort! Singing, dancing, costumes, hair and make-up all looked great!

Starlet Sing at the O2 Arena, London - AGAIN!!
Starlet Dance School went to the O2 Arena again in February to take part in singing for the 'Voice in a Million' event, to raise awareness for Fostering and Adoption! The coach left the Starlet Studios, Reading at 11am and after a long and fun day, the children didn't get home, until just after midnight! A Big Well Done to all who took part! You are all so great and fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for more well behaved children! Look out O2! We will be back in 2012!!
We Got ANNIE NATIONAL TOUR!!
Starlet Dance School has some fantastic news! We got approached by the production company for the Annie National Tour, who want us to supply the 9 Orphans for when it comes to the Hexagon Theatre on 6th September - 11th September 2010 starring Su Pollard as 'Miss Hannigan'. Many Starlet Children came to the Auditions which were held at our Starlet Studios and the panel was very impressed! The following children were successful in getting the parts:
